Sitting at Biggle10's table: + or - ev?
by alanpsych » Sat Apr 08, 2006 2:21 am
I saw Biggle10 on an UB $2/4 table the other night (Wed?), and noticed there was a seat open. My move? I ran away like a little girl. Was this a good move?

At some tables online it can loosen up the game quite a bit. Especially during promotional periods many sites become infested with Rock-Sheriff crossbreeds. These guys aren't going to play any more than they have to, but they'll die before letting you "steal" a small pot. They're the worst sort of school to me, because getting anything out of them when you have a big hand is like pulling teeth, and with a marginal hand you couldn't get them to drop their cards if they had a scorpion cling to them.
Add in a couple "suckers" who actually bet at pots though, and they'll start contributing money themselves.

No, actually playing with me live is EV+ because of my inexplicable talent for putting young Spanish aggromaniacs on extreme tilt. All you have to do is stand downstream and collect the cash that washes up.
