Setting up a private tourney for the European Friendly Game
by jacedk » Tue Jan 03, 2006 7:06 am
I was thinking about setting up a private game for the European friendly time game. Which site would be best, and how do you do it? I tried looking at Stars website, but can't find anything.

You need to have earned at least 2000 FPP's to have the privilege of creating private tournaments. Don't sweat it if you don't have that many, several of us here can set it up for you for whatever time you guys decide.

Just to add to Scotty's post....
You can use Stars (or have one of us do it for you) and get a replay of the tourney.
OR
You can use PokerRoom, but there is no replay due to their insane way of compiling HH's from their database.
There might be some other sites, but those are the two we have used.

You're not being nosy, that's a legitimate question. The answer is, NO, points are not deducted for private tournaments, or the privilege to create them, it's just the milestone they use to decide who to reward. It's a small token of thanks for the equivalent of paying them $400 in rake.

Tournament is set up:
Tightpoker: Danish Breakfast
3pm EST (15:00), Saturday, January 7th
password: the usual forum tourney password (If don't know it and want in, you can politely ask me or JaceDK for it. Whores can not even bother asking, I'm stingier than Jack Benny)

Ehh, Scotty...I don't know the usual forum password.
I never play in those because of the time difference, which is exactly the point with this tourney.
Just toss it to me in a PM...
And thanks for setting up the game.

does a new button just show up?
All time total. If you've earned at least 2000, write a letter to customer support and simply ask for the privilege. You'll get an email about an hour later that explains the rules/procedure/etc...
Balance is not an issue, otherwise I'd never be able to set them up - I keep buying books with my points...

Btw I would like to know the password too
By replay, he means that we collect our individual HH's and format them so they can be used by the replayer.
I sent you a PM with the password.
