Those damn $50s are a tough nut to crack. I think to be more successful I am going to have to not only improve my game, but also stop four-tabling and browsing the web while I play. My reads just haven't been good enough.
I had a similar start in my first 300 $20+2s, maintaining a losing ROI for over 200 games, before I started absolutely crushing those tables.

I played so many MTTs this month, I decided to manually enter all my buyin amounts into PT (PT can't determine MTT buyins automatically--that sucks!) Anyway, here are my MTT results since Dec. 1:
buy-in, # tourns, net amount, ROI, ITM
$20+2, 7, $2658.78, 1,726.48%, 28.57%
$30+3, 40, $4657.97, 249%, 25%
$50+5, 9, -$379.15, -76.6%, 11.11%
$100+9, 4, -$496.00, -100%, 0%
$150+12, 3, -$486, -100%, 0%
$200+15, 3, -$324, -56.67%, 33.33%
misc, 5, -$208, -100%, 0%
That's 71 MTTs for a profit of $5423.60. Add that to my STT stats. I've made 10K in one month. Should I quit my day job?

Btw I don't understand how you guys 4 table STT at PokerStars. Sure it's easy at the start but once you go heads up for all 4 tables, it's hell.
Lots of people stagger the starts.

Hey RC, I'd like to watch you play if you don't mind
Please PM me when you're about to play or post your schedule here. I know I can learn a lot from you, especially because my tournament play sucks.
Do you have a strategy for STT & MTT that you're willing to share?
Well done on all your wins so far. I agree with JaceDK. Get a part time job and make serious money playing poker. I don't think my career (day job, 3+ years) earnings have reached $10k yet

Hey Dark,
I'm back in law school now, so my poker playing is going to be pretty much limited to the weekends. I'll PM you the next time I'm going to play. As far as strategy, I have come up with some interesting philosophies that I have alluded to in some of my other posts. I am thinking about writing up a strategy guide, but I won't have enough time to do that until this summer. By the way, I was joking about quitting my day job. Even though I made 10K playing poker last month, I don't think I could do it for a living. I guess you could say that I'm trying to follow Barry Greenstein's advice of putting my energy into something more productive!

Was wondering where you'd disappeared off to. Good to know that you're doing something good for your future. If you do happen to get some time off I'd really appreciate it if you wrote a strategy and I'm sure other forum members will benefit as well.
When is your summer btw? It's summer here in South Africa till April.
Good luck with your studies and continue killing the donkeys on PP
