Yeah, Therrien rocks!! Outright saying his team sucks, and that they must be trying to suck at defense. I know this year has to be bad for you, but that is absolutely outstanding.

If only Eddie Olczyk got his licks in before he was canned. You know he must have been thinking the same damn thing.

So, yeah, the coach yells and screams and then they play Columbus, one of 2 teams worse than the Pens. Woo hoo!! Let's beat up on the Blue Jackets and get this thing headed in the right direction!! Ahhh, no. Pens lose 6-1. Columbus sets a new team record for fastest goal at the beginning of a game (10 seconds). Yeah, the defense really picked it up. But I read Therrien was actually please with how the team stuck up for each other (I didn't get to see the game) with some rough play. The sticking up for each other part has been missing for some time.

Ah, crap. I think you guys start these threads because you know I'll rant for 15 paragraphs. I don't have the energy today. We suck. And as someone who couldn't wait to re-get season tickets, I am seriously thinking about not getting them next year. It sucks to go to this many games (I have a 20 game plan) and watch them lose. I've been to 10 games so far and they've won 3. I'm keeping track of how much I spend on the Pens this year (tickets, parking, food, etc) and I'm up to $800 (including the cost of the tickets for the season). Add at least another $100 for the rest of the year. I can find better things to spend $900 on.

But it was good to hear Therrien yell like that. Pretty funny because it sounds like he said the defense sucks when he actually said they're soft. But with his accent, it sounded like suck. Good to know someone in the locker room cares about the team. Chicago on Friday night...they have one more point then the Pens. Let's see what happens.

Yeah, since like 1978. I watch Hockey Night in Canada almost every Saturday and rarely miss Don Cherry during the 1st intermission. He showed tape of how Sidney Crosby was being smacked by Ilya Kovalchuk of the Thrashers a couple weeks ago. Then he showed tape of Lemieux as a youngster being treated like a stepchild by Darius Kasparaitis. Cherry was making sound like skirts have been mandatory parts of the Penguin uniform since Carter was President.

IMO, too much talent, not enough grit. Bench a few name players (do LeClair and Recchi do anything besides pick up a fat paycheck?!?!?) and call up a few hungry kids from the American League (not just the goalies ). The season is lost anyway, it can't hurt.
