What is the area that you have most improved on in your game from this site or the forum? Also, what areas do you need to work on to improve your game more?
Well, online, people just give you there chips. So be patient and just let them. In the same sense, I need to be more patient, I get bored and play hands I shouldn't, then get in deep trouble, sometimes eliminating myself in those hands.

I have improved most with this forum by learning not to waste my chips and to guard them well and to try to make good judgement calls on my
bets. Patience is a good key in poker and I learned to do that more ! Thanks !

Who is in charge?
by leopard47 » Tue Jan 10, 2006 8:22 pm
I am extremely disappointed that the wrong time was listed on this site.
I log in at 7:10, since i thouight registration would be two hours before the Tournament starts.
OOPS!..... did we say PACIFIC ..... We meant Eastern.....
VERY DISAPPOINTED. I logged on early this afternoon, but the message on the correct time wasn't posted.
Plus, I passed up on a freeroll to participate FOR THIS SITE.
What's the TIGHT TOURNEY ON THE 17th?

I have improved on my tourney freezout game play tight for the first half loosen up in the middle and play looser in the end but I start playing more aggressive towards the end of the tourney I'am now averaging the top 7 tables.
The areas I need to improve on more is patience when the ending of the tourney is nearing I get anxouis and play stupid which usually costs me to get knocked out. Also the most area I need to improve on is outs I have to get to know my outs more and percentages cause I find myself in quicksand when it comes to fishing for nothing. Folding the what I think is the best hand would be another.

Hey all.....I just joined the forum, but I can say that in the 9 months that I've played online poker, I've improved quite a bit. I've learned just how strategic a game Poker is, and forums such as this one (I'm a member of many other forums) have helped me share my strategies as well as acquire tips about poker to help improve my game.
To answer the second question, I still have many areas upon which I can improve on.
My heads-up play is a work-in-progress, but the more experience I obtain, the better I do. The other area I can work on is when or when not to slow-play my hand. I've found myself in situations where my decision to slow-play was a costly one. Had I raised before the flop instead of just limping in, the results would have been much different.
The last area especially on Stars is protecting your hand and not giving other people cards to outdraw you.
Thanks a lot

Tightpoker and its impact on my poker game
by coldplay107 » Tue Jan 10, 2006 9:16 pm
Hi mj,
The areas I have improved on from this forum is my ability to read players. From the useful experiences shared by the users on this forum, I have gained valuable information in becoming a better no limit holdem player. Focusing on the areas of their weaknesses and strengths, I can now often guess correctly their hands and predict their behaviors accordingly. However, I need to improve on my preflop strategies, especially with lower grouped hands. I quite often limp or raise with poor hands which can be costly in tournaments. I hope to continue reading and participating in the forum to make myself and the community and better place for poker players abroad.

Relax, you weren't the only one who missed out. I just got home and found out that I was blinded out. And before you start bitching, maybe you should have read that it was a Titan Poker error, not a tightpoker.com error.
