Would you stake someone to play in a poker game?

If you knew someone who had the ability and the experience and the background, but didnt have the money, would you stake him or her in a poker game tournament?

If not, why not?

+EV stands for positive expected value. It means that you are expected to make more money than you'll lose so it's a good gamble to take.
