PREFLOP - Thought this big preflop bet is needed since i am the first one to act on the flop. This was according to HOH... did i apply the concept wrong?
FLOP - Bet half the pot to see where i stand...
Turn - No clue how to play this one... check fold to a substantial raise? I already have alot invested in the hand..
Thanks... used a hand converter but since i am a new user, i couldn't use it.
I have PT, PAHUD and am currently reading HOH1, HOH2, and HOH3. I read i should also get SNGPT. Is this pretty much all i need to get started playing SNG and the occasional Multi-tournament?
switched from playing limit... limit was too slow for me.

Well on the flop there is 1,100 chips in the pot and you have 1,300 behind. You should be betting around 3/4 of the pot which is 800 chips or so. Generally in tournaments, if you're going to be putting more than 50-60% of your remaining chips in with a bet, you are better off just pushing since you're going to be forced to do that on the next street anyway, with the odds you're getting now. The only reason not to just push would be if you had a really really strong hand and wanted to get more value from it. You only have TPGK so you're better off pushing the flop here and hoping to get called by a flush draw getting the wrong odds, or a weaker ace.

Whew.
More preflop, 450 at least, prefer 500. You're OOP against an UTG limper who you likely dominate.
As played: 700 on the flop, there's a flush draw and you should assume he has a weaker ace which he'll give you stacks for.
If you make it 500 preflop, you'll have 1100 in the pot on the flop, and you could go all in on the flop.
Assume you have the best hand on the flop. There are literally two aces that you lose to (one of them is impossible given preflop action: AK) and a ton you beat. No need to bet for information here. I'm looking to get all in as quickly as possible.
If you'd played preflop and flop correctly you won't have a decision on the turn. If we were deeper we'd have more discussion but it's rare in a tournament where you're playing for stacks deeper than ~50xBB, so a lot of the complex hand analysis is out the window. Just focus on getting your money in good on the flop.
HOH are great for tournaments, but if you ever switch to cash games just forget all the shit you learn in those books and buy another series for cash games.
iHateJacks: The pot is 900 on the flop as played.

Thanks for spending the time to answer my question...
now... if i missed the flop with my aq with over 1100 in the pot...
would i check the flop or make it a continuous bet with half my stack???
When the flop hits me... i should go all in since i am already committed.

That depends heavily on the flop texture and your opponent. If it come something like 352 you should probably just shove it in. Not only do you likely have the best hand but if you don't you will usually have 6 outs.
On something like KJ9 I'd feel better checking. Too much of that board could have hit your opponent.
