SB is very tight/solid. MP is loose and I don't feel like playing a raised pot with him so I opt to check instead of raise pf.
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) TightPoker converter
MP ($56.65)
CO ($53.70)
Button ($3.90)
SB ($30.85)
Hero ($28.90)
UTG ($36.70)
Preflop: Hero is BB with
,
.
1 fold, MP calls $0.25, 2 folds, SB completes, Hero checks.
Flop: ($0.75)
,
,
(3 players)
SB bets $0.75, Hero raises to $2, MP folds, SB calls $1.25.
Turn: ($4.75)
(2 players)
SB checks, Hero bets $2.5, SB calls $2.50.
River: ($9.75)
(2 players)
SB bets $4.5, Hero???? wtf?? is this guy calling with anything if I raise?

I just feel like villain will always flip over a monster if he c/c the entire way and then bets into me on the river. Every goddamn time.

The Old, Weak Snickers would call. The Trying-To-Be-New-And-More-Aggressive Snickers would raise. And the New Snickers would have bet more on the turn....maybe $3 or so.

I'd raise to 13 or push
I may as well say this hand is pretty messed up because I just called.

With the pre-flop play that weak SB could easily be playing 27, 47, or A7. I think it's decently likely that you are beat.
Playing short handed any PP is a good hand and with all the limping pre-flop I would pop it up to $1 or $1.25 and hope to take it down right then. If you get a caller (and miss the flop) you will take it down with a cbet most of the time. In this case you would have hit and fired out.
I just like being aggressive though, so just checking the PP in the BB makes me queasy.

The SB has nowhere near pumped the pot, I'd be surprised if you were beaten, and I don't thinkn you were otherwise you'd be posting this in BFZ as a sick read
. I can see why you only called the river, but I think you should raise it, not too big though, if it is a blocking bet from villain, just raise it to about $10.50/$11 so he can't fold. I'd have to call a shove over the top as well. If I'm behind here, I get stacked everytime unless I have a lot of respect for villain, and at NL25, I think standard is to assume you're stacking trips here a lot. Tuff if he rivered you, gross if he has 72.
I tilt 3 bet him everytime he raises for the rest of the session if he has 72.

I tanked on the river, I really really wanted to raise but I just had this awful feeling I was beat by A7 or even sicker by 74/72.
Finally called, no, trip 7s Q kicker isn't good enough buddy. I'm mad at myself because I KNOW I should have pushed and I would have had his stack 100%.
