Yeah, Randy....$569 was the price after the $100 rebate at Circuit City. So far, I don't like Vista. I'm sure that's because I'm not used to it and I was using the mouse pad. I need to get a mouse for the thing.
Vista question (because I haven't had time to look anything up): every time I turn the laptop on, I have to log in with the user name and password I set up for the GF. It's the only user name I set up. Is it gonna ask me every time for the password? Can't I bypass that somehow? I just want to turn on the laptop and have it boot straight up without having to log in. The upstairs PC with XP doesn't make me log in every time.

Snickers, I know it's annoying now but it's only because you're used to the old way. It's actually a more secure way of using your PC. I'd recommend keeping it that way.
(BTW I am definitely not an advocate of Windows - but it's nice to see them take a step in the right direction for a change - Linux has made you do this for years).

Yeah, Mew...I know. It's just annoying because I'm used to booting up and walking away while it does its thing, then come back in a couple minutes and I'm ready to go.
