Pre-Flop Tendency: TIGHT - The Poker-Edge software automatically color codes tight players in RED for easy identification.
Player Type : You are a RedFish (Aggressive/Passive). Your passive PostFlop play makes you a weak player. The Poker-Edge software shows you the Red Fish by placing an icon next to their name at the table!
Strengths: You are selective with your starting hands, giving you an edge over looser players. You are aggressive Preflop, which makes you better than a GreenFish.
Weaknesses: You are passive PostFlop. You rarely bet your winning hands for value or protect your made hands, giving other players an easy chance to catch up.
Best Advice: Play more aggressively PostFlop. Bet or raise good hands instead of calling, and fold your weak hands. Bluff more often.

Pre-Flop Tendency: TIGHT - The Poker-Edge software automatically color codes tight players in RED for easy identification.
Player Type : Congratulations, you are a Shark (Tight-Aggressive/Aggressive). Your Tight-Aggressive PreFlop play and Aggressive PostFlop play will earn you great profits at the Poker Table. The Poker-Edge software clearly shows you the Sharks by placing an icon next to their name at the table so you can aviod confrontations.
Strengths: You are selective with your starting hands, giving you an edge over looser players. It's hard to tell when you are bluffing because you are always aggressive. You are on the winning side of a majority of your showdowns.
Weaknesses: As a shark, you have few weaknesses. You may get bored from winning all the time.
Best Advice: Get an elbow brace so you don't develop arthritis from dragging in all those pots.
I'm typing in other names now whos I need teh infos on

Player Type : You are a Bomb (Aggressive/Aggressive). Your Aggressive play Pre and Post Flop makes the table fear you. The Poker-Edge software shows you the Bombs by placing an icon next to their name at the table!
Strengths: You are selective with your starting hands, giving you an edge over looser players. Your aggressive nature is your biggest strength. You win many pots on bluffs and semi-bluffs.
Weaknesses: Your biggest weakness is you sometimes lack discipline. Your aggression is unwarranted sometimes. People slowplay or check-raise you because they know you will bet.
Best Advice: Work on your discipline, and you will be a shark.
I don't think that is very accurate. I hardly ever bluff, and I'm pretty loose pre-flop. Where do these even get this info from?

Yo, I'm the bomb, beeyatch. Word.
Seriously though, does anyone use that software? It looks cool, but I don't want to pay for it. I'm curious how popular it is.

I have my doubts about the value of these data aggregation sites. For one thing, you have no idea what the tables were like when your opponents data was collected. For me, it says I'm a rock and that I should open up my game. However, on the tables I purposely seek out that would kill me. For example, after readin my profile I did try some semi-bluffs and got called down with as little as 52o with a 5 on the board. Likewise, I have no trouble whatsoever folding 50 hands in a row and worrying that I'll get too many callers when I raise with rockets. So, it's $50NL, not too high of stakes but not chump change either. If I can't find a table to my liking or if my table changes and want to play anyway I would change up my game, which would make the data you're paying for useless. I'm a rock because being a shark would reduce my advantage.
I believe they say that they make table selection much easier because you can see the stats of the players at the table before joining. Personally, I don't think opening up a bunch of tables and looking for the fishiest stats is a good method of table selection. At a minumum you have to check out the table first anyway so why pay monthly for it.
People's games aren't static. They evolve. You're paying for historical information that may be outdated. Are you really going to rely on that data when you have to decide whether or not to call a big push? I bet you would have rather been paying attention yourself for even a few rounds. The data from Pokertracker once you're in the game for some orbits will be better because it will be tailored to the table conditions.
Online poker is a big world, but it isn't THAT big a world. Where I play I'm seeing the same folks all the time. I know them without even looking at their stats. Hell, by now I even know stuff about their families because some are chatty.
This product does not get the Johnny seal of approval and I would be surprised if it was used by players with much experience. Newbies might jump at it for a while though.

Agree!!!
The only thing I could add is: Some accounts have more than one person playing in them.

Assenine Data Reduction Software
by pokercooler » Sun Mar 11, 2007 4:04 pm
The Pokeredge analysis is an assenine, flawed, data reduction analysis software package designed to make a handsome profit for the owners.
The written reports of each player are approximately as accurate as the fortunes in fortune cookies at your local Chinese Restaurants. The accuracy of the actual data for each player is dependent upon the quality of the software and data tracking capabilities of the program.
All online poker software are intrusive products designed to make money for the owners, and they in effect hurt online poker, or at least the players who want to play poker and don't want to deal with software. Most of the good players use it so players, who don't use Pokertracker and poker ace hud, or other popular poker data tracking software are probably at 10% or more disadvantage when playing against opponents who use it.
Usually when I describe online poker to casino players who don't play online, and I mention that good players use software suck as pokertracker to create databases to track the play of their opponents, they react negatively and state that they wouldn't want to play online.

Eruu wrote:I checked stats of all of my opponents at a 6 max table. Curiously they were all the same. I doubt that the software even takes into account the difference between full ring and 6 max tables.
I think the software does take into account whether it's 6 max or full ring, it mentions it at the bottom at least. I do doubt it's as accurate as PokerTracker, but all of the names I typed in gave back the answers I expected. Green Plastic is semi loose, aba is tight, I am tight. The most common one seems to be a bomb, which pretty much describes the current climate of poker with over aggression/pushing very marginal edges. I def wouldn't buy it, but as a free tool just to type a couple of names in I think it has some value.
I also wish tracking software was not allowed online pokercooler, and I've considered moving to other sites who prevent it. Btw, Poker Edge is targeted by Party Poker as an illegal form of software help. My friend opened it up while playing and he received a message warning that it had been detected.
