First hand of a HU sng. Villain is unknown. I'm dealt AJo.
Villain limps OTB, I raise to t80, villain pushes.
Call or fold?

This is about the limit and the opponent.
In the (limited) experience I've had with this type of HU player, he does not turn a big hand most of the time. Also, the match will simply continue this way until hero decides to call. Then he'd have wished he'd called with AJo on the first hand just to get this ridiculous garbage over with.

For those who are folding, what's the worst hand you do call with here?
I think I'll see a lot of junk hands or worse aces here to make up for the times villain has a real hand.

I voted to call. But, against an unknown $10 heads up player, I think it would be profitable to call this 1st hand push with 88+ ATs+ and AJo+.
And, really, I think I am being tight here with my range. If we call with any of these hands 1000 times in a row, I have to believe we would come out ahead.
I will be interested to see what ranges some of the others come up with.

I think this scenario has been discussed before. I'm going to look for the thread.. but I generally don't like calling unless I have AK or perhaps AQs.
Ok, found it. Here is the previous thread. To short summary though from my earlier reply, was that rake is an integral part of your decision (surprise) in this situation. You're probably ahead enough of the time, but you need to be way ahead for this to be worth your time.
