What's the average $5.50 SnG like

I've got this Stars bonus sitting there so I thought I'd try to clear it and get some SnG experiece for myself at the same time. I've only played about 3 of them other than Tight Poker donkaments.
I would need to play 4 $5.50 9 player SnGs every day between now and June 30th. This is what the ones under my belt were like and I was hoping you guys could tell me how these compare to what I might experience over the long haul.
I played 4 yesterday and 2 today. The games yesterday took a little while in the afternoon. I finished 1st and 2nd in 2 afternoon games and 4th and 5th in the evening. The afternoon games were tighter and lasted about an hour. The evening games were looser and I went out rather quickly to flush chasers.
Today I played 2 games in the afternoon. We were approaching the hour mark in the first game with 5 people remaining. Since the tables were so tight I tried betting a few times in position and just got flat called with stuff like a pair of aces with T kicker down to middle pair. I got myself in a little trouble that way and ended up bubbling it after about 1:20. The 2nd tournament was similar and I ended up cashing in 3rd in about the same amount of time. One person called out my mucked cards a couple times and she was right. Very abusive language to donks. Most people knew what they were doing and adjusted their play well to the number of players remaining, their position, and observations of their opponents play. This is why I don't want to play more than 1 at a time. I really had to pay attention and make the most out of the moves I could make.
So it seems as though I can hold my own, but if I play them one at a time I'm looking at 6 hours of play for 4 SnGs. Does that sound right? Seems long to me but I really have no idea. How tight should a $5.50 regular 9 man SnG be? I don't want to play turbos so I think this is the lowest denomination. If the play I described seems above what it should be that's ok too since I can get better experience at a discount.

You might try the $13 6mans. Top two pay and it isn't too hard to get there if you have any poker skill at all. You should do pretty well in them. You should also be able to 4-table them, you probably won't be able to pull off any real fancy moves very often but luckily you don't really need to.

Thanks Mewsic, I tried one out and watched a few others. It seems like those at least have 1 or 2 people who want to immediately gamble at the start and either shoot off or double up and then shoot off. The turbo structure and 2 pay spots might not be suited to my very conservative and patient style of play though. As it was I ended up out 4th when villain hit a FH on the river to beat my straight. I think I might try the $10+$1 regs.
They seem long, but on reflection that must be because I'm comparing them to our forum donkaments.
With the $11 ones I can just play 2 consecutively every lunch hour. That way if I lose them both I can at least give it a go at making the $ back at NL that night.
I don't know what to tell ya Crunny! Best to leave em alone though. I think they are too much work for the return even if ya win.

johnny, did you try the turbos or the regular $13s? They have both. I play the regulars.
