PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (6 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)
CO ($13.80)
Button ($8.70)
SB ($14.80)
BB ($51.40)
UTG ($24.10)
Hero ($29.55)
Preflop: Hero is MP with 6
, 8
.
1 fold, Hero raises to $0.5, CO raises to $1.25, 3 folds, Hero calls $0.75.
Flop: ($2.85) 7
, 7
, 9
(2 players)
Hero checks, CO bets $1.25, Hero raises to $4.25, CO calls $3.
Turn: ($11.35) 8
(2 players)
Ideas? Results later.
EDIT: Oh, I'm playing this hand this way because CO is super tight / weak after the flop. Anyone else at the table I would probably fold my 68s to the reraise. My original raise preflop is a standard raise I usually make whenever I open a pot with these sorts of hands. I'm fairly closed to criticism about the preflop action. On the flop it is obvious that he has missed, and a check raise is the best way to extract value from my hand. What do you do from there; what do you think he has?

If villain is super tight/weak then you would have to put him on an over pair after he calls your c/r, right?
So if you think you can get him to fold, bet hard on the turn and represent something like A7 thats scared of the flush/straight draws.

I'll pretend this isn't my own hand and answer your question crunny:
Our opponent is weak tight, we can't expect him to bet the turn often enough to make a checkraise work. We'll be in the dark on the river when he checks behind if we don't improve.

There is no point in raising preflop with this hand if it still signifies that you hold this type of hand. The whole point is so that you can represent on the flop and gain deception value for both drawing and big made hands.
You also called a super weak/tight player OOP who has just reraised you preflop? And now he has called your flop check raise as well. And you admit that your hand is probably face up if he has paid any attention to your real raising vs your min raising. Nothing about this hand makes any sense, you're trying to overcomplicate things, poker isn't this difficult.
As played, bet the turn about $8 and shut down on the river UI or fold to a shove. But betting the turn is a bit optimistic imo, maybe just check and hope he checks behind, which he probably does more often than fold given your description of him. You're playing to your disadvantages here.
