How did you get here??

I was wondering how people found this site. I know it's always been ranked high on google, yahoo, and msn. I actually found this site a few years ago when I was searching for private tournaments on Pokerstars. MJ was about to host the very first Forum tournament and there was a $25 bounty on him and if you Aces got cracked he refunded your buy-in... I thought that was a sweet deal and signed up.. Been here every since.


How did everyone else find this site/forum?

Just started playing online...and losing (new to poker). I was bored at work and googled partypoker to see what would come up, hoping to find somebody's blog or something else to read. I believe MJ's site was one of the first 2 or 3 sites listed. Decided I should stick around and learn some things. That was what....2 1/2 years ago? Something like that.

IIRC I was just googling around for poker strategies and this one stuck out. Read the articles and started lurking the forums. Not much has changed except now I troll the forums instead of lurk.

I started playing online poker last March and didn't even know how blinds worked. I signed up for Party first, using the PSO free instant bankroll. Before playing I googled to read up on how to play and found MJs strategy guides on Tightpoker. They probably saved me hundreds of dollars. I then looked at this forum and saw the section we used to have on tutoring. I signed up to the forum to sign up for tutoring, but didn't end up getting any as I apparetly came in as the tutoring was on the decline. Just as well, as posting hands here was very educational.

The way I remember it, I was the same, too. I had a head trauma the night before, so that day is a little fuzzy.

I believe I was searching for single table tournament strategy and this was the first site that came up I think. Read some of the articles, I feel in love with the replayer and its ability to teach and then I progressed to the forums. The replayer was what got my attention though and then the community was awesome also so it was a no brainer to keep on posting here.

Googled poker forums...found this and 2+2 and this one was a lot easier to navigate.. Joined when we had freerolls on Titan.

It was an unblocked gambling site at work, and the Party Poker name was probably what helped me stumble upon it. People seemed to have the same dumb questions I had, heh.
