is there limited ammo ? On about lvl 32 everything stops firing and lets all the enemie walk around
No, very odd. I got to bonus level 4.
This is my strategy:
Use cannons until level 7 (first level before the first 'AIR' wave), then research fire cannons. Sell all cannons and replace with fire towers (I was able to have 3 of them, I think). From there, upgrade your towers to level 3 (level 4 doesn't seem worth it, to me, but I'm not sure), and do not add extra towers unless you 'need' to. Just research the interest upgrade since you'll only be using fire towers from then on. The idea is to stockpile as much gold as you can until the bonus levels, then you can add and upgrade new fire towers. I have no idea how the leadears acheived their score, but I was able to not lose a single 'civilian' until the bonus levels.

Water towers help to slow the enemy down so your fire cannons can do more damage. Especially upgraded for the incredible splash damage.
I also got to the "how are you still alive" level once.

After spending roughly 3 hours at work playing this I finally beat it with a score of 10772. Not sure how anyone could get a score over 30,000.

I beat it as well with a score of 6,495 and I don't really know how the top guys get that score. I suppose I could sell off all my buildings before I win and perhaps get like uh.. another 5k in gold outta that to boost it to 10k, but I dunno after that. Perhaps just sniff the flash packets and spoof a high score?

FWIW, can't beat the game without combo rockets. (At least I wouldn't presume you could based on my math, someone prove me wrong?) [Edit: NM, I'm already proven wrong!]

Yeah I didn't worry about the rockets. I went with a shitload of fire towers and used my wood to increase my gold up to 25%.
