Nooo! I do not threaten men. I bluff them sometimes, but not threaten. Mmmm...at least not often. Okay, sometimes...but not this time.

NT, i was just making a hilarious joke.
Set over set is like a neutral EV situation. An example of this can be seen in the hand you played. On the flop you flop the 2nd nuts. AA = nizuts, 77 = 2nd, 33 3rd. In the actual hand you posted, AA is probably more likely than 33 because the raise came from EP, but from a pure odds standpoint, the likelihood of your opponent holding AA or 33 is the same.
So lets say you play a similar type hand. You know that your opponent either has AA or 33. Nothing else is included in this range. You fold because you think he has top set, but he shows you 33. You have now made this situation -EV by folding. In this situation, if you call EVERY SINGLE TIME, you will lose 50% of the time and win 50% of the time. With the money that is already in the pot, you have a 50% chance to win however much your opponent covers, PLUS the money that is already in the pot, making it a +EV situation.
Now start adding more hands to your opponents range, like for this hand AK and AQ, maybe A7, a few other hands (all of which you happen to be ahead of), and your EV becomes even greater.
In other words, folding a set is something that should be done almost NEVER. Sorry that you are having a bad run with your sets or whatever, but you are seeing monsters under the bed and may want to take a break if you were thinking of folding.

If I'm reading the hand correctly, hero is the one who raised from EP and villain with AA flat called from the button.

Ok that makes it even more likely that opponent has 33. I'm leaving my original post the way it is though, cuz the real hand kinda helps illustrate the point.

Well I don't belong here anyway, so I'll bid y'all farewell.
I just wanted to simmer things down before they got out of control.

It's impossible to get away from a set here. Nobody folds a set here, period. I would expect villain to flip up AQ (strongest holding I might put him on)
Don't trouble yourself with set over set hands. It's fucking crap, but shit happens. NH.
