Late in game, call w/ T9s?

This is from a 2 table 5+.5 @ PS... I feel like I should have called b/c the blinds are eating up at this point. I didn't though b/c the button was pretty tight through the whole final table, but not very aggressive. I put his calling range on AT+ and figured I was probably a big underdog... I felt like there was no chance he would've pushed with anything less. And of course he could have had a few of my outs if he has some clubs or AJ etc. Any thoughts?

Well if you really think he's pushing that tight I think it's a fold, but he's probably pushing wider.

yea i guess at this point the chances hes pushing with any two cards or Ax aren't bad, right? I'd like to think my read was right (heh dont we all). He had been folding very easily, losing a lot of blinds. This is what our stacks looked like about 5 hands prior, right after 4th place was knocked out.
Seat 2: SB (18056 in chips)
Seat 3: Hero (4359 in chips)
Seat 6: Button (4585 in chips)
Do you think you would have called?

This is one of those cases where, if I was acting before anyone else pushed, I would push for sure. I think calling an all-in depends on reads, as you said.

Well based on a 9-man sng if he's pushing 22+,A2s+,A3o+,KTs+,KJo+,QJs then it's a call (barely), not sure how much things change with a 2-table structure. Either way it all comes down to reads anyway, I think it's very reasonable that he's pushing this wide so it's probably a call, but still very close, so I can't fault you for folding.

Interesting you have T9s. If your opponent has an overpair, T9s does better than any underpair. Two nines have a 19% chance to suckout, but T9s has a 21% chance. In fact, JTs only has a 20% chance to beat aces compared to T9s' 21%.
I think that instead of calling and jeapordizing most of your stack, just fold your BB to him and shove him next hand. Hopefully the button doesn't push but even if he does, it hurts your opponent more than it hurts you.
