I dunno. HU hands are very hard to comment on without the context. However in this particular hand, against a complete unknown (say the first hand of a HU match) I would be pushing the flop. Expecting him to fold. Does anyone seriously not go broke here? Hand really plays itself...

I would shove the flop every single time. Your hand is much much much more powerful when it gets to see two cards instead of just one.
There are also some other consideratioins;
If you hit your flush draw or another ten on the turn, villain may shut down, or try to get to showdown cheap, and you will not get paid.
You only have one pair. Any offsuit A,K,Q or J puts you in a very tough spot with a good chunk of your stack in the pot. If an offsuit low card (2-6) appears on the turn, you probably won't feel so hot facing a large bet.

I played about 20k hands of HU on UB in october/november, so I have a bit of experience as to how the games play, and that turn bet means 1 pair = no good almost all the time. So as played, I may find a fold on the turn. But hero has outs, so that combined with maniac combined with top pair means I might go broke. But I don't know for sure cuz I would shove the flop like 100% of the time.
