So I'm playing in the Moneymaker 10FPP tourney and got bored so I've decided to make up some rules to keep me interested.
1. in any unraised pot, you must raise any 2 suited or connecting (no min. raises).
2. in a raised pot, you must call any raise that is less than 1/3rd your stack with any suited or connecting hole cards.
3. You must try and out play your opponent on the flop. If he comes back at you, you can fold.
4. Play all other hands as you wish.
So far I've worked my stack up to 20K, but then had to raise 5 hands in a row and show down 74s and dropped back to 15K and just switched tables.
Kinda fun being an aggro-monkey.

You should have made it a drinking game! Flop comes all one suit, drink. Someone sucks out on the river, drink. Anybody's aces get cracked, drink. Hell, with a freeroll MTT, you'd be drunk by the end of the first round.

I did manage to get upto T100K and was looking good until I was dealt 32o or 32s no less than 4 times in two orbits. Then a couple of 43o bled me down to 50K where I got it allin with AQ to opponent's ducks but he hit his set and I was done. 153rd out of 5K or so (top 50 got seats to the next rnd.)
Snickers, that drinking game has potential, but I'm not sure how society would accept my getting smashed by myself in front of my computer screen.
Or try explaining it to the doctors after having my stomach pumped.
I saw the flop 40% of the time and I only remember limping in with one hand the entire time.
I'm a pretty conservative player for the most part and I have not been very sucessful in the MTT's lately (1 FT in 3 months
) so I have been tightening up but now I think it was a bit too much, and getting back to my more aggressive ways (like earlier in the year when I was running well).
So as uninteresting as this has been to read, it may actually help me (hopefully) to get back on track.
