manja818: raises 300 to 450
BELLZARR: folds
bobcorn: calls 300
*** FLOP *** [2c 8h Ad]
bobcorn: bets 700 and is all-in
manja818: calls 700
*** TURN *** [2c 8h Ad] [5h]
*** RIVER *** [2c 8h Ad 5h] [5d]
*** SHOW DOWN ***
bobcorn: shows [Ah 7d] (two pair, Aces and Fives)
manja818: shows [Kd 2h] (two pair, Fives and Deuces)
bobcorn collected 2375 from pot
manja had been raising every other time on the button. I figured i had just the right amount of chips for a stop-n-go and felt i had no fold equity preflop. Even if i missed the flop i was planning on pushing. What range of hands would you make this play with?

I like the idea of the stop and go; however, when you hit your ace, you should check and call. He might stab w/ a lot of hands he's not willing to call.
If you didn't hit you ace the stop and go looks good.

Bob, you posted a HH in the past that was very close to this one. You mentioned a habitual button raiser/blind stealer who was eating you up. You picked up Ax (actually, you may have had A7 just the same). It was unanimous that you should reraise all in preflop. Here, you should reraise all in preflop without hesitation.
The stop and go works fine too.

Yeah, I check this flop for the same reason everyone else said. I know slowplaying bites you in the ass sometimes, but HU on the bubble, top pair is a monster.

Hi there! Most of the time, with the read you described, and with A2 or better, I would have pushed preflop. However, you playing your A7 the way you did was fine, too. There are circumstances where I would have done the same as you did. In this situation, with A10o or better I would push preflop every time. Have a great day!
