Calling preflop is fine, as long as you know flopping just a pair will mean you have to laydown to heat. I think the flop fold is a good laydown, I like it and I think I'd have done the same, though I would have led the flop. Your checkraise makes it easier to get away from as well as your hand is well defined now as at least two pair, or the big combo draw, so he has to have at least the draw or set to move all in after you, so you're either a big dog or almost evens with the draw (depending on exactly the cards he holds). Given he just called the blind preflop, looks like set mining, would presume he'd raise AQs or that ilk of hand. Must feel good after he folds and shows the trips eh? Don't feel bad about that imo, nice play.
