Why PartyPoker NL is the best
by blatman25 » Thu Jun 15, 2006 4:55 pm
I was doing some deep thinking while I was exercising the other day, and I realized two of the main reasons why Party Poker's NL games are so much better, and looser than other sites.
1. The lowest NL game is NL25 (.10/.25).
This means that if players want to play NL cash games, they have to play this level. Poker Stars has micro limits, like .02/.04, and so on, but Party wrangles all the fish up to the 25NL game, which is more than enough to make some good money for a solid 4-tabler (like myself).
2. They list games by blind level.
This might not seem like a big deal to you, but think about this...
I was in a game with a real donk the other day, and we were discussing a hand (I know I shouldn't do it). I said something about pot odds or something and he said something like,
"If you're such a pro, why are you playing for $.25?"
At that point I was like, HOLD ON A MINUTE! This guy is judging this game as a quarter game. He's not looking at pot sizes. He's not thinking about how much money to buy in for.
He's literally thinking,
"Blinds are $.35 total, so if I buyin for $7, I can go around the table 20 times."
If they lose that entire $7 they just think they got unlucky and rebuy.
It will never occur to these idiots that they're playing a game that can have swings of $25-$40 every 30 minutes or so.
And that, my friends, is why Party Poker rocks.

Oh, I know that. I'm just saying that the lowest limit the fish can even START at is 25NL, so you know a lot of them are depositing $50 and playing 25NL.
Although, they can play the beginner tables for a while. I wonder how hard they had to work to make $25 at the beginner tables for me to take it in one hand?

Is that because no one would ever believe he had a hand? I've seen otherwise good players (Including me) go broke against players like this, just unwilling to laydown overcards when the board is rags.
Isn't paradise the one where you can have a virtual cigar and scotch at the table lol, how gimicky! I think i lost money at paradise when I played there, long time ago now.
