Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (5 handed) TightPoker converter
MP ($24.45)
Hero ($46.40)
SB ($38.23)
BB ($108.83)
UTG ($78.91)
Preflop: Hero is Button with
,
.
UTG calls $0.50, 1 fold, Hero raises to $2, 1 fold, BB calls $1.50, UTG calls $1.50.
Flop: ($6.25)
,
,
(3 players)
BB bets $4, UTG calls $4, Hero calls $4. I decide to call and get aggressive if a safe turn falls, at this point I also am trying to get to showdown
Turn: ($18.25)
(3 players)
BB checks, UTG checks, Hero checks.
River: ($18.25)
(3 players)
BB bets $2, UTG calls $2, Hero raises to $7 I think a value bet is in line here after check/check, if I get reraised I'm done with the hand in most cases.

The flop call is debatable, but I think the rest of the hand is fine.
I like this line better if you're HU, but if you're up against multiple players, I think the flop is a raise to get HU.

Damn I seriously agree with you Goof. How vulnerable is AA on this flop! So many draws around, and idiots who don't know (or care) about odds calling. Raise the flop.
Value bet on the river, sure, but if you get killed by the straight/flush don't blame me

I wouldn't hesitate to put a similar size bet out on the turn - it might give you a bit more information as to who hit what, what draws there were and also put you in good shape if a 4th spade hit on the river.
