Poker Tracker and tournaments
by jacedk » Thu Dec 01, 2005 11:12 am
I use PT with GT+ when I play ring games, but I haven't figured out how to use it for tourneys. I would appreciate some tips or good links from some of you tourney players out there.
Is PT the best tool, or are there other programs more suited for tourney play (both SNG and MTT)?

If you're a tourney player, you'll want to be using PokerAce HUD. It's worth the $25 to register. If you're multi-tabling, you have no excuse not to have this program up and running.

Thanks for the feedback. I already have the free version of PokerAce, and like the 50 bucks i paid for PT, I consider the price an investment, not an expense.
Apart from getting PokerAceHUD, how do you optimize the use of PT for tourney play?
I saw your post, but I wanted to check if there were other programs. I remember reading about SNGtracker or something like that.

SNG tracker just keeps of your buy ins and your win % and maybe your ITC and ROI%.
Poker Tracker does all of this.
I think SNG tracker might have graphs or something with it though.
Also I just noticed. Some how on a friday morning at 4:20 am you posted as I just logged on to check the forums again. Pretty weird

Time zones, my friend. I checked the forum at 10.20 am from the office, procrastinating from a couple of articles I have to have done by monday.

J, have you gotten PAHUD yet? Does anyone kow if PAHUD has been updated to support the new party software?
I have always used Tourney Tracker in PT (the heart icon) but its only good for 2 or less tables at a time.

There is no need for an update. All you have to do is change the path in the settings for PP. It should point to C:\Program Files\PartyGaming\PartyPoker.

Thanx JP. Is it worth the investment if I'm already using the Tourney Tracker in PT? What can it offer me that the Tourney Tracker does not (other than the heads-up-display like in GameTime+)?

You need to get the newest version if you play 6-max, btw.

It overlays on the table instead of having another window open, and it also shows you mucked cards so you don't have to go to the HH window. Finally, you can customize the layout and what stats it should show for each player as well as the table as whole.
I'll admit I'm behind the curve with this since I'm a PAHUD newb, so if there other things that I missed I'm sure others will post.

WOW, NICE! THANX!
I'll assume that you can add Aggression Factor to the HUD?
