I don't like the flat call on the flop, in your situation, I tend to raise the open bettor, in hopes of isolating him. Truthfully, your hand is not very strong, the presence of an extra spade hurts you. There's no connection either (i.e. straight draws). This of course, hurts you as well.
Therefore, your best option here would be to reraise and hope to push out the other people (lol, yeah right), so you don't have to invest over $11 to make your flush (papajuice's total stack). Of course, once you reraise, you committ yourself to any further action as well.
Poor papajuice, this is one of those hands that are killers. You flop middle set, while holding the highest card on the flop in your hand (which hurts your hand by reducing filler-up outs). All the meanwhile, your opponent has flopped top set, which leaves you in the worst shape b/c you're drawing to one out. Not to mention, there are infinity number of cards that can come on the turn and hurt you. So what do you do, you lead out with a pot sized bet anyway
.
Nice outcome, though.

Even if it wasn't the nuts, a 2 would give you a straight.

Thanks, I just caught that right before I read your post. It was a little late last night when I initially posted this response.
