"Bug" with poker stars
by hultin » Wed Nov 30, 2005 5:14 pm
Ok I had the nut straight on poker stars and I was trying to bet but I was 4 tabling and had to quickly make a move. So I accidently hit "fold" and then that window came up asking me if I really wanted to fold or check. I tried to close the window so I could bet but when I x'ed out the window it just checked for me. I wanted to bet though!
Is there anyway to bet after you accidnetly hit fold and it only lets you check or fold?
Cause that was really gay I gave everyone a free card and this guy hit his flush on the river...

That would suck. But if it was limit then maybe the glitch helped you out as he would most surely call you and make his flush on the river. So maybe it saved you a big bet? I don't think you can bet after that window comes up. I am going to try it next time it's free to check and get back to you. I would email Stars and tell them to fix it maybe because I can see how that will piss off a lot of people who multi table.

No it didnt even save me a bet cause I didnt even notice the river until after I bet. I still had my mind set on betting and I did even when the river came out, and then he raised and I still called

It gave me the option to check or fold and when I clicked on bet outside the window I heard the ding noise and it didn't let me. So I closed the x and it just checked my hand. That is crappy. Well I guess stars added that in only for players who didn't know and if there was a bet they would fold. Well that sucks and an email to stars could do something. I'm curious to what they'd say.

They'd likely be very polite about telling you that you shouldn't press the fold button when you want to bet.
Yes, it sucks, not nearly as much as accidently calling does though. Not that I've ever mistakenly cold called a preflop raise with trash in the blind, expecting to hit check. No. I would never do that.
But basically pressing the button is the same as declaring what you're going to do. You certainly can't say "fold" then bet in a live game. In fact, you can't say it than check either, but you're right in that it's added for new players online.

Unless it's opposite day...
Remember opposite day when we were kids? That day used to fuck with my head. Or was that just a crazy "we're easily entertained in iowa" thing?

I'm too lazy to look this up myself, so please explain how misclicks can be guaranteed?
Come on...Hero bets and gets raised...oops, that was a misclick. Please give me my money back.
I'm sure you meant misclicks generated by their software, like my example with Hollywood:
I have a garbage hand and clearly clicked the "fold" button. Next thing I know it's 3-betting for me!

By guaranteed I thought he just met that you are going to misclick, not that if you misclick you'll get your money back. I could be wrong though.. but that's what it sounds like. I bet on bet365 and it says that you have one FREE cashout per month and any other cashout will cost you $25, is this true for their casino and poker?
