Wow, what a see-saw game. Just when you think things are going one way, they switch.
I have to admit that the first half TD by Rothewrtlwehr;lafjs;lajgsfdberger was close, but some calls seemed so off.
Early in the game, the catch by a Steeler guy that seemed like an interception, but dropped and ruled incomplete was way off.
The one TD that was ruled offensive interference by the Seahawks guy seemed weak as hell, he barely pushed off.
The second half holding call after the seahawks would have had the ball on the one yard line was bologna too.
That's all I can think of, but some of the officiating was biased, I thought I was watching a Duke basketball game with all the bullshit calls, lol.
Maybe it was a conspiracy to make sure the Bus would win
.
Actually, it's worth noting that the Steelers executed some beautiful plays, that one bootleg deal where Randal EL threw the TD was sweet as hell.
Oh well, GO BEARS 2006-07!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, that was a good game. Seattle had their chance early..three(?) straight 3-and-outs by the Steelers to start the game. Seattle puts together a couple of scroing drives there and the game is totally different.

Of course, Seattle could have helped itself by making a field goal or two, as well as their awful clock management at the end of both halves.
Hasselbeck running around like a chicken with his head cut off, changing from one play to another while the clock ticked down from 40+ to 13 seconds, and then the Steelers calling time out when he finally called the right play was hilarious. I wasn't really for either team, but I was probably on the "Bus" bandwagon like 80% of the country.

Steelerfan here.
The officiating was terrible. The DJack pass interference play was tickytack, but a foul nonetheless. You would think in that big of a game though, that shit wouldnt be called.
The personal foul on Hasselbeck was a misinterpretation.
I didn't really see any of the calls that should have gone against Seattle, except that one "incompletion".
Now to the juicy part.
THANK YOU SEATTLE! Thanks for giving the game away!! The 'hawks accomplished nothing in the red zone all game long. They moved the ball brilliantly down the field, and stalled out time after time. Then, missed 2 field goals, and mismanaged the HELL out of the clock at the end of the half and at the end of the game.
Letting Willie Parker run for 75 yards untouched, then giving up a 45 yard touchdown on a gimmick play that everyone knew was coming, sealed the deal. Even after Ben Roethlisberger JOEY HARRINGTON'ED a pass right to a Seattle cornerback when the game could have been sealed, Matt Hasselbeck Joey'ed one right back to Pittsburgh, effectively ending any threat.
Also, thank you Mike Holmgren for not getting Shaun Alexander in the game. He had the quietest 5.0 YPC average I've ever seen. I thought that the best runningback in the last decade would be the deciding factor between these two teams. Apparently I was wrong, and the difference ended up being a trash-talking tight end that couldnt catch a cold. (very lucky for Joey Porter, who didn't do a GD thing all game long)
Anyhow, it's nice to see my team win a championship. Some people (ahem, Lions fans) never have, and never will see their team win. However, I wish that both teams could have brought their "A" games on Sunday, because if they did, I think we could have seen one of the greatest Super Bowls ever. Instead, we got what looked like two pop-warner teams, thinking more about going out for ice cream after the game then playing well.

That one pissed me off and I'm not a Seahawks fan. Clearly if he was Moss or Owens they wouldn't have made that call. In fact isn't that what Michael Jordan did to Bryan Russel when he hit that game winning shot against the Jazz in the finals?

Hey coach,
There's 6:43 left on the clock in the 4th quarter and you're down by 11. Now's a good time to establish that running game, huddle up after each play and then eventually punt to a team that hasn't lost a lead in the 4th quarter (due to it's running game) in about 7 years.
It's a great time for that. IN THE F'N SUPERBOWL!!!!
As a Patriots fan 2 things stood out about that sequence. 1. Now I know where Andy Reid learned his time management skills and 2. I appreciate Belichek/Brady even more (if that's possible).
That was a terrible Superbowl.
Maybe next year the Colts will get to play the Texans for 16 straight games, at home, and then the NFL will give them a BYE to the Superbowl.
Do you get the feeling they force feed things to us or what?
Commissioners office:
Well, we really want Dungy to win a Superbowl so even though they went 12-4 in 04' let's give them the easiest schedule in football.
"can we do that?"
sure, if we can give the Giants 9 home games we can do whatever we want.
"Well how do we avoid having them go to Foxborough and lose again?"
Easy, give the Pats the hardest schedule in NFL history.
"C'mon everyone would cry foul if we tried that."
no they won't, they are all sick of them winning every year.
fast forward to the playoffs.
"what do we tell the ref's before the Colts/Steelers game?"
just in case things aren't going well just tell them to screw the Steelers on every call if possible.
after the game
"oh crap, we have some making up to do. Plan B folks. Steelers now have to win the SuperBowl. somebody get me the ref's on a conference call ASAP"

I just cracked up when Brady got boooed at the coin flip. Seriously though he is the best QB in the NFL. Manning is a loser just like his dad. He fucking runs away from the defence like a little girl. Come on, take a hit you pussy you're supposed to be a football player.

The officiating didn't lose this game for Seattle, Jeremy Stevens did. If he holds onto the ball the Hawks win this one.
And what a 2-min. drill Hasselbeck displayed at the end of the first half. Breathtaking watching him work that clock.
