Da Bears!!!
by mervhage » Mon Nov 21, 2005 10:44 am
Even though I live in NC, I hate the Panthers and I was glad to see my Bears put a whoopin' on them. It was nice to actually watch them on tv, since no Bears' games are ever on tv b/c the stupid Panthers are always on.
Our defense was kick-ass, it was great, da bears!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Merv, try living in Buffalo and watching the 48-10 debacle that was shoved down my throat yesterday. This will be six years out of the playoffs, yet our GM gets a contract extension in the offseason. Sometimes I wish rooting for another team was possible here, but I've got two problems:
1) If you aren't a Bills fan and root for that team openly, you run the possibility of having your house burnt to the ground.
2) Hating the Dolphins is sooooooooooo fun!!!!!
However, your Bears are having a sweet season. Enjoy them in January.

Same here in Pittsburgh, uh, only with the Steelers. Since I'm not originally from here, I secretly wish they lose every game. Such fun to see the fan's faces Monday morning when they lose.

Muhahaha! I hate the Bills, but I was lucky enough to be living upstate and be the only one in the room rooting against them when Norwood had his moment of glory. I had even said he was going to choke, not believing a word of it. Best. Game. Ever.

I will remember forever where I was when Nor-wide missed. There were 12 of us ready to absolutely bananas for the first major title in Buffalo (I'm born, raised, and still live in shadow of the Ralph), and as the kicked sailed wide right, the room turned into a morgue for over an hour. It was sick. But you're right, probably the best game I've ever seen in my life.
Scamlan: You must be the polar opposite of me in almost every sport. Sabres v. Bruins (not so vicious now as it was when I was a kid in the 70's), Bills v. Dolphins. Next thing you're going to tell me is you're a Red Sox fan
