Online STTs are ugly

I've played a couple of $5 buy-in events recently, and I've found a new reason to loathe tournament poker. You can't get up and leave until the damn thing is over.
One of them featured about four "experts" who would critique everyone else and run on at the mouth about how shitty they were according to sharkscope. Another one had half the table accusing the other half of being a collusion ring. When did these things get to be so hostile?
