If we are talking tournaments (MTT's) whats a good # to be at?
My last 4 tournaments I have played I was at:
22%
27%
18%
24%
Does anyone have any info on the #'s, I have read where if you see more than 30% you need to revisit your starting hand requirements, has anyone else read this?
Under 20%, are you considered tight? too tight?
What is ideal I guess is what I am trying to get at?
TIA for any input,
-ZD

In 3 table SNG tourneys, I am 50ish% out of the blinds, but out of other positions, I am only about 20%. I mix it up a lot though, so it is hard to say really what my percentages are. I go from extremely tight to maniac pushing and raising incessantly. I get on rushes and just flow with it. I may go 30 minutes or so where I see 10% total flops and then spend 10 minutes at 75% of flops with big raises and big hands shown down. Not sure if it is "correct", but it works for me.
As for larger tourneys, 10+ tables, I defer to some of the other members with more MTT experience. I am super tight in big tourneys and have never placed in the money in a tourney over 5 tables, so my advice would probably not be worthwhile.
Iplaycards has been rocking the MTT world lately. Maybe he has some thoughts.

Was this for MTT's or just Hold'em in general? If you're playing cash games, a common rule of thumb is around 17-18%.
Personally, I'd love a Saw Flop % of 100% in a MTT as I'm getting dealt AA every hand.

This can also vary based on the cards you're being dealt. I don't have poker tracker, but using the stats that Party and Ultimate Bet give, I've had tons of good cards and see 35% of the flops, and bad streaks of cards where I'm seeing flops 9% of the time, but my starting requirements aren't really changing.
It's key to take your hand histories back to the replayer and review your play after a tournament. I generally wait a day so looking at it is a fresh experience for me. It's amazing how much you can learn about your game through this kind of review. I think this will tell you more about whether you're playing too tight or not than a straight percentage will.
