I was bored today with Party down, and so went over to PokerStars to deposit about 600 and "gamble" it up at the NL 400 tables. Did ok, played about 30 minutes before work and ran well enough to make about 200 or so. It reminded me of my early days single tabling all over again, and the higher stakes made for much more excitement. Just seemed a real good way to blow off some steam and freshen up (1500 hands last night and 2 buyins down to show for my work). Anybody else often do stuff like this? Taking shots outside the BR or playing crazy for a time? I think I may make Stars my cool off site, expendable cash to try and double up or bust or something. Compared with all of the multitabling "work" and "discipline" that's the norm for me, it felt good to just get in there and gamble for a bit.
