My first non-freeroll tourney

I played in my first tournament last night that wasn't a free roll. It was a $5 rebuy on holdempoker.com. I think I did pretty good, 18th place out of ~680. I also didn't have to rebuy, but I did do the add-on at the end of the first hour. I won $66, so I am pretty happy about that.
I think I played my last hand correctly, but got sucked out. Sorry, I dont't have a hand history. I had 66 in the big blind, one caller, sb folded. I checked. Flop was 345 rainbow. I bet 10K, he raised to 20K(about 1/4 of my stack), I raised all-in immediately, hoping he would just fold. He called and turned over J 10. I was so excited that I was going to double up and definately be on the final table, but of course he got a J on the river, and I did not complete my straight. All in all I am very happy with my performance. I only wonder if I raised preflop if he would have folded. 66 is not a very strong pocket pair. What do you guys think?

Congratulations on making it so far!
About the hand, I think you played it fine, except I would most likely have raised it up with just one limper. Against just one opponent, any pocket pair is a favorite against most hands, and you don't want him to see the flop cheaply with a drawing hand. Plus, raising lets you get away from the hand if he suddenly comes over the top of you with a slowplayed monster.
Postflop, it's just bad luck that you get rivered like that. This guy has to be pretty lucky if he has made it this far by calling massive bets with crap like JT. Without any draw, this guy has to be a total moron to make this call. Remember his name and take his money if you run into him again.

Morons? Playing crap? Late in tournaments and sucking out on someone?? No way! I am shocked!
Congrats on your good play and finish Superbrew - keep up the good work.

Ditto. To get that far w/no rebuys? Great job.
