Multitable tournament with unlimited rebuys question
by ordan1982 » Wed Jul 11, 2007 10:47 pm
I was playing an unlimited rebuy tournament at party poker tonight and I noticed something that seems to me to be cheating. You are only supposed to be able to add-on chips if you have less than 3000 when you rebuy, but to get around this people would push allin and addon before the hand was finished, so you could add on no matter what your stack size was. A guy at my table did this several times and is up to 25000 chips after only a few hands. Does party poker allow this or should it be reported and just hope they fix it?

I don't play rebuys but everyone I've talked to and everything I've read about this issue indicate that its been that way since day one at Party Poker. Not sure what their official responce on it is but its been that way for a long time as far as I know.

I actually phoned party poker when I first saw this because I thought it was a major flaw. Apparently Poker Stars does not do this, but Party poker does not claim it's a bug.
Word of advice. Play tight against the guys that buy in like crazy like this. They're usually extremely loose players and you can double up on them easily if you hit a good solid hand.
