Why re-raise pre-flop? Im asking because I usually just call that and wonder if this is a bad move in limit.

I'd rather play my sevens against one opponent rather than 2. It was an isolation/"I think I have the best hand and position against the SB" raise. I also get some info on the strength of SB's hand if he caps.

the early limper will likely never fold, especially at 2/4.

might be better to just call preflop, and then raise the SB on the flop. that might isolate him.
