PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (9 handed) TightPoker converter
MP1 ($9.85)
Hero ($10.90)
MP3 ($5.80)
CO ($8.90)
Button ($10.25)
SB ($1.80)
BB ($5)
UTG ($1.65)
UTG+1 ($3.40)
Preflop: Hero is MP2 with
,
.
3 folds, Hero raises to $0.4, 2 folds, Button raises to $0.8, 2 folds, Hero calls $0.40.
Flop: ($1.75)
,
,
(2 players)
Hero bets $1, Button raises to $9.45, Hero???
First off, do I re-raise preflop? With my lack of aggression, you should be glad I actually raised in the first place.
See...I'm trying to get better! Only stats w/villian...20 hands, 30/15/0.6
I see this fairly often at the level...someone with a huge shove and I'm not sure if jacks is something good enough to call with.

9 handed, no, don't reraise preflop.
Flop, fold, pretty easy fold at that. You're basically hoping he's got AK.
You should thank your lucky stars he made a completely uncallable bet.
EDIT: For what it's worth here, I wouldn't call with less than kings, but it's difficult to say how the hand would have played out if I had KK/AA.

I can see people at this level doing this with 55+, but they are fruitcakes and easily identified.
I mean, it's a fold, but I disagree with pf, easy 3bet. Still snicks it's not awful, calling is OK.
So fold to his stupid all-in. But note...oh yes...note.

Yes, I folded.
So, I three bet preflop and then he shoves. Still fold?

You realize this is nine handed no limit hold 'em with ten cent blinds right? He hardly ever reraises here without tens or better. 55 - 99 are out the window. Putting the third raise in is just asking for trouble.

I did it 'to see where I'm at'.
