No one had any thoughts on this?
"Potentially offering a new WSOP event with a buy-in that would run into the high six-figures and maybe even reach seven."
Imagine what the online tourney structure would be for a buy-in to one of these.

Well I was discussing theories with Doyle and we both agreed to only stick with the 100k buyins and up.............lol!
Seriously:
The encouraging thing is they are going to be asking the players for input and make the structures better. In the WPT I know there are many complaints about them making a faster structure for TV and audience sake. Of course this takes out the skill factor and makes it more of a crap shoot.
Kudo's for working with the players.
BTW if the big event becomes a 100k buy-in some of the pro's would get a substantial pucker factor. That is even above most of their bankrolls.

I thought it was the best idea they had out of the bunch. Even though I obviously won't be in it.
The fact is that while the main event will always be the centerpiece, the bracelet from the deuce has been a bit better regarded by alot of people. (Some of this is likely out of date info by now, so I may be wrong) The lowball game is a straight 10k buy-in with no satellites. So whoever wins it basically threw down his cash, tightened up his belt and won. This in contrast to the main event where a number of high finishers and even winners have gotten in through a series of cheap satellites, and had more of a lotto type run.
A $100,000 bracelet with no satellite entries and no sponsorship entries would have a certain bling factor equal to the original WSOP bracelet, when it was seven handpicked contestants. Aired in its entirety it would be interesting TV too, since you know it's going to be a small field, and everyone's bringing their A game. As a bonus for Harrah's you've got a better shot at repeat winners too, since it's hard to imagine the field changing much from year to year.

This is the part that I would most be interested in. I like to watch good poker players play. I'm not really a fan of watching these donks (or celebs) suckout hand after hand. I'd get on Party and play some low limit if that's what I was looking for.

I agree, as long as it really was with no satellite entries and no sponsorship entries...plunk down your money and let's play. Nobody in Elmo suits or smelly jerseys or donks from England who take 25 minutes to decide to play or not.
