How to lose 7 pounds w/o trying (gross content)

How to lose 7 pounds w/o trying....get sick. Was feeling fine Sunday afternoon. Watched the Pens game from my couch...could barely keep my eyes open (not all too different from any Sunday afternoon laying on the couch watching sports). Game is over, it's about 4:30, I tell the GF I'm gonna take a nap before the Super Bowl and ask her to wake me at 6:30. I stagger upstairs and within minutes of laying down, I'm in the bathroom with, uh, diarrhea. Baaaaaaad diarrhea. Three more times in the first hour I'm rushing back into the bathroom. WTF? For the next 7 hours or so, I'm pretty much either vomiting (forceful, literally thru the nose vomiting) or sitting on the toilet. Several times I unfortuantely did not make it to the bathroom. I could barely walk and had no idea the human body could hold so much water because, let me tell you, a lot came out of me.
Then the leg cramps started....I assume from lack of water in my body. The bestest GF in the world went out to get me Gatorade, apple sauce, and saltines, and cleaned up after me. Luckily, by about 3am, it was pretty much over. Just feeling like crap, but no more vomiting or diarrhea. Very weak (one time, I actually laid on the cold bathroom floor because I couldn't get up).
Third day off from work today for being sick. Should be back tomorrow. I weighed myself yesterday and I lost about 7 pounds. Alls I had to eat since Sunday was a bowl of soup (last night), a small bowl of apple sauce and about a sleeve of saltines.
The worst part (not really) was missing the Super Bowl and all the commercials. I have no idea what anybody is talking about.

I feel for you bro, stomach flu is the worst. The WORST. Especially when it gets so bad that you look forward to the next time you vomit so that you can go back to sleep. Absolutely hate it. I hope you are fully recovered soon!

Oh man... that sounds like some really nasty stomach flu or food poisoning you had there. Yikes. Hope you get / feel better soon Snickers. At least you know you got a pretty good GF out of the experience, that is thinking of the gatorade and saltines even.

Thanks guys. Almost myself now. Hoping tomorrow I'll be back to normal. No more spewing since early Monday morning. Just trying to get some strength back.
Eruu....be careful, man. This shit sneaks up on you. I seriously felt fine all Sunday until the evening. Then BAM! Unfortunately, bestest GF ever came home early from work Tuesday...she's sick...got it from me. Started feeling bad around lunch and by 5pm, she was spewing all over. Don't think she had it quite as bad as me, but she did have the spewing thru the nose and was up about every half hour for a while there. She's pretty much slept all day today. I think me being sick so bad made her realize that she better get home before it hit.
This is the worst I've been sick in a long, long time...maybe the worst ever.

That sounds like food poisoning for sure. I've had it a few times before that bad and thats exactly how it went (don't eat tuna pasta in Guatemala
).
Good to hear you're feeling better. Now you can play the game of trying to guess what you ate that would have caused it.

Seriously? I just assumed stomach flu. Never had food poisoning before. About how long does it take from the time you eat the food until you start puking your guts up? Or does it vary? I had little to eat Sunday (the day in question), but the GF and I did get Chinese take out Saturday night for dinner. So, roughly, 24 hours after the Chinese food.
Actually, I think all I had to eat Sunday was a package of ramen noodles/soup.
Edit:
Leaning towards Stomach Flu:
The symptoms of gastroenteritis include nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, diarrhea, fever, and weight loss.
For Food Poisoning:
The first symptom is usually diarrhea. Other symptoms include feeling sick to your stomach (nausea), vomiting, and abdominal cramps.
Either way, they're both close. I did have the chills, thou.

Food poisoning is usually 24-48 hrs. I've had it probably half a dozen times (backpacking on the cheap will up your probability
) and the more severe cases I had the chills and it felt like I had a fever.
But who knows? Either way it sucks and feels like you're going to die.

Eruu....don't want to add to your paranoia, but just remember what I said. This shit hits FAST. If you think you're getting it, just make sure you're always near a bathroom. Take care.
