I remember one stud hand where my opponent had been running all over the table. He had an open pair to my four flush and I was sure I'd bust up his two pair if I made the flush. I made it on the river and was pumping my fist with joy when he capped. At least, I was until his cards flipped over to show a well concealed boat. Whoops.
What the hell? The chips slide over to me? I had to go look in the chat box to find out what'd happened. I had been drawing near dead, but caught perfect to make the straight flush without noticing.

That story sounds awfully familiar, Eruu. Maybe because it also happened to me not long ago, as explained in THIS THREAD.
As you can see from the replies, I think it more or less happens to everyone if you play long enough.
This is why I love the sites that show the strength of your hand, for those of us to busy, distracted, dumb or just plain blind to see it for ourselves.

I disagree. I dont want the fishies knowing what they have.
And Eruu, I too have called on the river with the nuts... It sucks. That's when I switched to the 4 color deck...

I know it wasn't the nuts, but there's like a 0.0001% chance that someone backed into a flush.
