Hand from last night

MTT on Titan, $3+.30 buy-in (rebuys and add-on). 154 players, 33 left, 20 paid. I am 9th in chips with 18,000, when this hand comes out. (Couldn't figure out how to get history from Titan so bear with me here).
Dealt JJ in MP, blinds 300-600. Folds to UTG+2 who raises to 1200 (players is LAG, with large stack 35,000). I act next and re-raise to 6K, all fold to villain who thinks for a while than calls. Flop Q72, 2 spades, villain bets out 12,000 (which puts me all in), whats the move here? What hands could villain be pushing?

It is a very small range, but I think you are looking at AQ-AK. Has he slowplayed any monsters? If so, you might be able to throw KK-AA in there too. Otherwise, I would expect villain to push before the flop with any other pair. With AQ, he has you beat. With AK he is representing AQ and is forcing you to make a decision for all of your chips. This is a tough decision, but since I'm still alive with 20BB I think I'm laying this down.
btw, to get a HH from Titan you have to e-mail their support team.

i think a flush draw is a significant % of his range. He could easily have AK/AJ/AT (spades) and wants to maximize his FE since he would call a push anyway. i'm not saying this makes it a call though since you are a slight fav/dog to these hands. i'd fold in this spot too, although it's tough to put villain on a hand given his play.

It wasn't his min raise that concerned me, it was the fact that he called your 6k raise. I can see a call with AK/AQ (especially since he took some time to make the call), but (personal preference of course) I'm eliminating AJ/AT for a call of a raise that big unless the villian's style is more maniacish (not sure if that is a word, but Scotty can let me know). I also threw in KK and AA since he could easily make the call of your raise and then push the flop like he ended up doing, instead of pushing pre-flop and scaring you out a little too soon.

Actually JP your thought process is almost identical to what I was thinking at the time. I eliminated A LOT of hands that he could have been playing like this including mid PP. I just wanted to see if anyone would actually put him on a range of hands that would justify calling, we all agree folding was correct, which is what I did. I folded and he showed QJo
I was left with 12K ended up out 12th position.
