excellently-timed suckout (A9 v AK all-in) puts Miami 4th in chips with 7 left, he's already got $1.4k

...that line was advised by professional dealmaking coach goofyballer
the default one was something like rainman (chip leader, 2.8 mil) getting 6.8k, snapples (1.9 mil) getting 5.5k, weakace (1.2 mil) getting 4.somethingk, miami (600k) getting 3.6k. the thing is, miami's payout would have been exactly the same as third place money - all he had to do was not bust next (and he had SOME room to work with, his M was probably ~7) to make the same amt. the deal would have offered. rainman was a bitch and said he 'wasn't interested in increasing the 4th place payout at this time', so miami said screw the deal.

Miami busts when he runs into AT v chip leader's KK (miami pushed into him preflop) and the dude hits a set vs. miami's 2 pair. The funny thing is, rainman busted in 3rd for $3.6k - suppose it's what he gets for being greedy?

Hey guys thanks for the support! I sincerely appreciate it.
That guy was a greedy prick and cost himself 2400! The fucking retard cost me 1300 but it was the principal (or is it principle ?) of the matter!
Here are the original payouts:
1st.- 9500
2ns.-4800
3rd.-3600
4th.-2720
5th.-2267
Here is the deal by chip count:
6800 to the Douche
5500 to the eventual winner
4500 to Second place
3600 to me
Deal I proposed: (the douche said in Chat he would take 6k)
6000 to the Douche
5500 to the eventual winner
5000 to Second place
4000 to me
My proposed one was a great Deal! The other guys approved it, but not the Douche.
He said and I quote," I am not inclined to increase the shortstacks share!"
My quote was to him directly," You are an idiot, have no freaking clue, lets play!"
Then when he donked off most of his stack I said in chat, " That's what you get for being a greedy deal making douche!" It got a big laugh out of all my buddies.
I will post hands later. My feeling was I played my hands very strong, I picked off a ton of their bluffs and slammed them with crap too. On the final table I just could not double through and acquire some chips. No biggy just wish I could have busted that douche bag.
Once again thanks everyone!

Hands I want to discuss:
- you had...~700k? (you might have to help me out since you have the HHs and I don't), you put 100k in to steal on the BB. He pushed for 330k, you folded 55 with ~2:1 odds.
- The AT hand against rainman...tough decision.
- checking JQ on the J-6-5 flop
- checking A6 on the A-x-x flop when you thought the guy limped a monster in your BB

Well Basically I folded the Q-J because the other guy was all in and moving up the pay scale was another 500 bucks or I most certainly would have pushed that flop! Probably I should have, but I did not want to risk a call from K-J or something stupid. In hindsight if I was worried about that I should have just folded and forgotten about those juicy odds.
The A-6 hand my buddy was typing monster in IM about a zillion times and he is usually right about those things. I had no read on the guy, but had been generally outplaying everyone I came across AA or no AA. So I laid it down looking for a spot I thought I was ahead.
The 5-5 hand I was close to calling. But I had been playing so well I did not want to coin flip myself for half a stack. So I mucked it.
The A-10 hand I really think I was ahead. This is the one glaring error I made IMHO. I went out with A-10 anyhow but I should have called and busted that chump. I can not honestly say what made me lay it down other then the fact I wanted to be the raiser and not the caller.
Here are two examples of excellent reads I was making on these guys, or at least I felt I was. So I got it in my head that I was able to pick my spots and outplay these guys why coin-flip it or call off my stack? I thought I was ahead on the Q-J hand but what can I do did I have enough fold equity?
here are some hands that reinforce why I made the above laydowns:
