Forum Alternative Games?

Anyone up for an alternative match other than forum holdem ? Some people are surprised to find that actions and pattern matching and often times behavior in a card game trasncends all forms of poker. So if you are good at deciphering opponent's plays in hold em, you are good at other games too...
Who wants a 5 card draw match bitches!??!?!
7 Stud would be fun too...
Omaha hi lo tourney ?

I think there was an attempt to hold an alternative forum game, but it came with little success. That being said, I would love to play some alternative game.

It was somewhat rough getting five people for the last draw game for a variety of reasons. I scheduled it at a bad time, not everyone on the fourm had an account at the site, and it's not a popular game. I'll admit, I didn't want to start with fewer than five people either, because some games change drastically shorthanded.
I think that's a justifiable fear. Without impuning anyone's mad skillz I'd suggest that the draw players who showed up were uniformly bad. I'm including myself in that, because although I did win and was apparantly the most experienced player I'd never played draw heads up or with large blinds. So it was somewhat of a surprise to do well at the end. I was pleasantly surprised it was a mostly even match. I'd have hated for one person to be the obvious sucker.
I toyed with the idea of trying some Stars tournaments once I have the required FPPs mainly because the majority of people have accounts and funds there, and you can set them at $1 which lowers the bar to include virtually the entire forum.

I used to play 7card pretty well, but that was about a year ago, havn't played in that amount of time, still I like the game and would love to play a tourny. Hi/lo is a tough one for me because I never played it much, but I would be open to either one as long as the times work out.

I will pwnage everybody in a game of Omaha (both hi/and hi-lo). Now that I've said that, don't hold me to it.

LOL! The first hi/lo tourney I ever played, I entered by accident (a $15 turbo on Stars a looooong time ago). Anyhoo, I scooped a pot with the most redonkulous hand of all time and knocked out 4 people in the process. It was very ugly. Needless to say I smoked the remaining competition. Since learning the game better, I haven't been able to reproduce those results since.

Do you mean $10, or did they change to allow $1?

Er, you've got me. I don't have enough FPPs to create them, so I just assumed you could make them the lowest buy-in based on the site and Libby's. I had always assumed that CTM was $10 because most forum members originally played at Party where that buyin was more rake friendly.
