This site was listed in Phil Gordon's Little Green Book, so I checked it out.
There are free Tourneys, head to head, single table, multi-table, and promotions. It's free, so the play was very wild in the room I joined.
Graphics are good, Sounds are OK ( sorta annoying, actually)
At first look, it's an easy way to play for free, and you should build your chip stack quickly. I went from $1,200 to $2,200 in just a short time at the table.
They list several promotions going on, so this could be a fun site.
I will post an update after playing there.

One update
by leopard47 » Thu Jan 12, 2006 5:51 pm
One feature about ESPN Poker Room......
Two people go all in before the flop..........
INSTANTLY.... all five cards are seen....
This I don't like, it happens so fast you don't have that second or two to enjoy the moment.
They do list your hand in the right hand corner.......
So it tells you......... you have a pair of Jacks and Tens.
and recognizes any change in your hand.
The Play is super-loose on the site, and will take an adjustment in your play.
The tournament software ran a bit "choppy".... with small delays when you bet, (but thats based on ONE session)

More On ESPN Poker Room
by leopard47 » Thu Jan 12, 2006 8:54 pm
If you like the "turbo" style..... then you will like how fast you play.
We finished a 120 people tourney in two hours.
I won my first Head to Head tournament.
You get used to the sounds.
The play continues VERY loose at every table I was playing.
The speed contributes to that to some degree.
The game was VERY Choppy at times today, as people lost connection and folded, (since it happened to six people at one table, I dont think that was the individual connection)

Improvement
by leopard47 » Mon Jan 30, 2006 10:27 pm
I made the final Table for the first time in Tournament play.
I credit the fast play of ESPN Poker Room as a great help.
This week (Jan 30th) will end one promotion, and I will post more information on the next contest as it becomes available.
