I used to play a lot tighter too. But after reading HOHII I'm pushing a much wider range of hands from different positions.

Why would you risk your entire tournament on this move for the sake of 300 chips? If you want to do it surely 4 times the big blind gets the job done. In either scenario you are in trouble if he calls. At least now you can get out with only a bloody nose.

Read dependant on who you are pushing on. Is he loose aggro, weak tight, solid? The less aggro he is, the more you should think about completion. The more tight he is, the more you should think of just tossing a 3x raise. You want to exploit their weakness, rather than default to mathematics if you can. I think K6 is very marginal here given the stacks at the table and the blinds.
The risk to return just isn't totally worthwhile here. If you did push, I would tighten up your push range considerably afterward (or after 1 more marginal push). This would let your later pushes with strong hands be more enticing for BB to call.
