Catch the Monkey - Season 4
by jp » Tue Feb 21, 2006 12:46 am
Catch the Monkey is the name given to our Sunday Forum Tournaments.
There is a long story behind the monkey theme, but most of the posts were lost on the old forum. It was discussed a little here on the new forum so you can try to search for CTM, Catch the Monkey, and/or Herbert.
Basically it is a 10 game season of private tournies held at PokerStars. It is open to everyone, and it is a great way to play against better competition to improve your game.
Here is the tentative schedule for CTM Season #4.
PokerStars - Sundays 9 PM EST
CTM #31 - February 26th
CTM #32 - March 5th
CTM #33 - March 12th
CTM #34 - March 19th
CTM #35 - March 26th
CTM #36 - April 2nd
CTM #37 - April 9th
CTM #38 - April 16th
CTM #39 - April 23rd
CTM #40 - April 30th
All Hand Histories can be e-mailed to jp@tightpoker.com
The leaderboard for this season can be viewed/downloaded after the first tourney of the season.

There will be, but I'm not sure what weeks yet. I didn't like the 9th game being heads up right before the end of the season, so I'm still contemplating which week(s) to make HU. Please feel free to share opinions.

This is NOT a freeroll and everyone is welcome. It is our weekly $10 buy in tournament. See above for more info and pay attention to posts in this section about the password for each one.

This isn't a freeroll so there is no need to ask. The password is made public every week and the tourney is a $10 + 1 buy-in.

Sweeeet. I think I have a few buck in the stars account. I might have to pop into the micros for a few minutes at the very least

I am looking forward to getting in on the start of this season, even if my tourney game is rusty. I might need to practice a few 10+1 45-seat tourneys to sharpen my game up a tad.
As for the time, 9PM ET is about perfect for me, but I can adjust my schedule either way. I seem to play better later in the day.
