Yea that's what I thought to. I figured even if I hit the low it may get split. I guess after seeing I would have won the lo, it makes you second guess, but I knew the fold was right.

Strictly speaking, you could have found a fold preflop this early in the tournament. Your hand has no scoop potential in a family pot, and with two callers in a raised pot you're probably splitting the low. Of course, sometimes you aren't because everyone else has a screw loose, like those guys.

This is a great starting hand in O8 in my book. I actually like the fact that is was raised. I really don't see myself laying this one down to often.

Any A23 is playable. The reason is because a huge combination of low cards will give you a straight or draw, so you can often freeroll from the flop.
And no, you are not often splitting for low, villains' raise could represent a ton of hands you are pretty good shape against: HHHH AxWWs, two wheel pairs, 3456, JQKA, AA4x, AAxxs, the list goes on.
The only reason this is a bad flop for terminal is because he doesn't have any hi potential, but there is no way I am laying down any A23 in most omaha situations preflop, ESPECIALLY given the price. If that aces were suited I'd be repopping.
