AK vs LAG - evaluate play

Aggro villain. Haven't seen many of his showdowns due to everyone being timid but he seems to bet any pair or draw.

Even though he is aggro, I'd consider folding on the turn after he re-raised. if he had a straight draw, he hit. If he had a flush draw, he most likely hit. I'd pick a better spot with a better flop for getting my money in the pot.
After looking at the results, I still consider folding.

Unfortunately, there's $85 in the pot and hero only has $15 left to call. Given his ~6.75:1 pot odds, it's almost inexcusable to fold here. If hero has another $50+ in front of him, then he can fold, but here it wouldn't make any sense.

oops. dummy me, I forgot to check stacks.
I also don't know if I like the re-re-raise on the flop.

Don't ever assume people are actually paying attention to how many hands you play. It's part of the reason I used to be able to sit around and wait for AA/KK and still get payed off (I play a LAG style now).
Also, no way do I repop him on the flop with nothing but air. At best I call. You're drawing pretty slim to anything that resembles a good hand. What was your plan if you didn't catch an A/K/Q on the turn?

I raise the flop because I don't think he has anything either. I'm well aware I have dill.
In retrospect of course I should have check-folded the turn, but I think my flop play is OK.

This is exactly why I didn't fold, for no other reason.

a Jack and a Ten of the same suit (not yours) on the board and you're continuation bet got re-popped? Read or no read I'm done with this hand.
there are like 4,327 hands you're losing to and half of them improve if you hit an A or K. I'm being facetious of course but over playing AK in cash games can be costly.

This is real ugly ML.
Preflop is good...but holy crap man, you whiffed the flop with AK, a drawing hand. Don't try and bother representing hands to retards. They can't do pot odds, what makes you think they can read your hand? He's an aggro, and sure, you are trying to muscle him out.
I don't think the flop play is that deplorable. If you think he missed the flop with Ax. Also, your asking the question ``did you catch the flop?'' Even a bad LAG won't be going mad like that without hitting something. That immediately puts you to an extreme underdog. Also, even without a draw, he is taking this to showdown. It's a big fat fold on the turn from me, screw the A; it can help as much as hurt. As was already pointed out, it completes a straight AND flush draw.
Anyway. I played AK badly recently also. Please now feel free to meander down to that thread and tear up my donkalicious line there.
Were you steaming?

The problem you guys might be overlooking is that the ace on the turn now provides the hero with a false sense of security (as in he has the best hand now). Now, all the work he did preflop and postflop, he's supposed to bail when the ace comes? Personally, this hand presents a lot of tough situations... very very tricky.

I just call on the flop instead of 3-betting, and I check behind the turn for pot control purposes. You don't want to be playing this hand for your entire stack, and if villain has any kind of hand, then betting the turn means you are.
