Pudge says as played call so that sounds good to me.
I suppose it's a check behind because you aren't getting any worse hands to call really and if you get raised you're in this awkward spot. But I suck and that's why I don't play this high.

I folded after a lot of thinking. I basically didn't want to go broke here since I had a nice stack left.
Bigt said he'd fold so I think it's close.
It seems a little weird not betting the flop to me since I'm happy to take down this huge pot right now. Hopefully someone will explain this to me.

I don't really get the check behind either. If you checked behind every time you could get raised I don't see how you could ever win any money.
My gut says this is a fold. At this limit, I would assume that your opponent is aware that you are aware that if your opponent calls you're still playing 18 BB stacked poker, so he probably knows that you are tighter than normal just because he is still in the hand. So he knows Ax is in your range.
On the other hand he knows that you know that you can easily represent an A here if you don't have one. Seems a big price to pay to win this pot, especially without a plan for when the ace doesn't fall. I wonder what he would do if the A and Q were, say a J and a 9.
*shrug* I'd probably fold, plenty of cards left to be dealt.

You mean fold to the check raise, right?
What about the idea of checking behind on the flop. Can you explain that to me?

I'll give it a go.....
If villain reads you as a thinking TAG he will know that this is a great opportunity to bluff c/r you AI because you will fold all but the very best hands. If you know that he knows this (3rd level thinking) you should check behind.
I could be totally way off base, but its the only reason I could think of.
BTW I also bet the flop

Yes, fold to the check-raise. I think you'll see a draw ~30% of the time, a whiffed hand ~10% of the time, and these are not enough.
Checking behind on the flop is a mystery to me. I don't see it as WA/WB, not without the information gained by your flop bet. If I raise PF then I am pretty much going to bet the flop no matter what.
Perhaps you are hoping to let him catch up. But then he would c-r the turn. So what have you gained?
