Well I just went out. I know if I pushed this hand preflop he is folding but AQ is so strong 5 handed I wanted to see a flop. Just unfortunate that he hit the only card I didnt want to see hit the board.

Best cash I have had yet to date.

Heids do you think you could comment on this hand?

Im wondering if I should of just pushed this preflop. The main reason I didnt is because only the BB was posted... I definatly should of raised more though, like 180k all day instead of 140k if I was going to raise.

I know you asked for Heids' advice, but if I'm playing any hand there except AA or KK I'm just pushing preflop. With AA and KK I would make a standard raise like you did. Congrats on the finish though!

Yah I definatly agree with you bobcorn. I gave that hand alot of thought and pushing I think is the best idea. Since there was only the BB posted, if they have half a brain at all, they would know I'm not pushing with junk since I'm risking all my chips for just 60k and we have been playing for 6 hours so that should be another factor into them folding to me. I think they would fold 99-, AJ- here because they have only seen KK out of me so far. Plus pushing this hand makes the BB skip me, the current BB would be moved to the button and I would become SB so thats another reason why I should of pushed.

I'm still happy with how I did. I made more mistakes than just this throughout the MTT but I guess I cant help that. I'm still learning. It seems like on half of my steal attempts at the end of the game someone would push on me like they knew I was stealing. Even if they were "obvious steals" it seemed like they knew almost every single time. I think it was almost less profitable to try and steal at the end of the game then it was during mid game, even though with how big the blinds are it should be more profitable. So I'm thinking I still have something to learn about stealing blinds late MTT.

Huh???

1. I have no idea why the action you took on that hand would cause the blinds to skip you
2. When there's a lone big blind, the current BB becomes SB next hand and the current UTG becomes BB next hand.

ive had the BB skip me many many times on party poker and on empire poker. Unless they changed how that is controlled with the new update, then the BB can still skip you.

If someone who was just BB goes out, the button moves to hte SB and then the person UTG becomes the BB but there wont be a SB. The BB then becomes the button the next hand and the BB skips you if you are to his left.
